Campers must be 21 years of age or older to make a reservation and stay at Iron Creek Lake Campground.
We are a rustic campground overlooking Iron Creek Lake accessible via 12 miles of gravel road south of Spearfish, SD. While the road is wide and generally accessible by all sizes of vehicles, its conditions depends on the weather and wear.
Our camping sites are generally grassy, and there are no pull-through options. Electricity is available at most RV sites as indicated. Campers are encouraged to bring extension cords and extra materials for leveling. Potable water is available from several faucets in the campground, and a long, separate hose will be required to fill your water tank. A dump station is also available near the campground. The campground offers outdoor toilets but no shower facilities.
Our 12 rustic cabins have more character than the typical campground cabins. The cabins generally sleep four in different configurations. Beds are included, but bedding is not. Each cabin also features electricity, small refrigerator, small heater, and small table with two chairs inside.
Our gorgeous landscape offers many outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, etc. Iron Creek Lake is a small, no-wake lake; boats must use trolling motor only. Those fishing must follow regulations for the State of South Dakota, including having a fishing license which can be purchased at the store.
Every site and cabin includes a picnic table and fire ring outside.
